The first official activity in the project was the constituting meeting of the steering group, which took place in Aarhus on February 21, 2017. The steering committee of the project is, in accordance with the guidelines made by the Danish Innovation Foundation, composed of actors from the partner organisations of the project. The members are selected, because they are involved in formulating strategies within their respective organisations, which relates to the themes of the project.
The agenda included election of chairman and vice-chairman of the steering committee. Thomas Andersen from Ringkøbing- Skjern Municipality was elected as chairman, while Christian Christensen from COOP Denmark was elected as vice-chairman. One of the other items on the agenda was to choose a leader of the project. Senior Scientist Chris Kjeldsen, Department of Agroecology at Aarhus University was elected as the project leader.
